SMS Gateway is a web based application that is used for send SMS from web to mobile, to avail the facility you just have to create a online login account on SMS website, buy SMS credits and you can make your phone book, regular SMS template, groups and after that if you have to send same message to 100 or 1000 or more peoples so no need to type numbers of every one just create groups, upload numbers in the groups, and type the message; in just only one click the message will go to everyone who are in the group, you can deliver messages in any scheduled date and time like send Birthday wishes, any occasional wishes etc. just like if you want to send interactive SMS like bank a/c alerts, insurance premium alerts, so also you can configure that with application interface provided by SMS gateway provider, bellow is the available technology that can be integrated with any type of application to send interactive SMS

 INTEGRATION OF SMS GATEWAY

SMPP – (Short Message Peer to Peer) - This application integration protocol is used where a high volume data flow is there in a single activity like in single transaction you are sending 500,000 or more SMS, to use this protocol you also must have SMPP Client SMS application and a dedicated hi speed computer is required with 24x7 hi speed internet connection, mostly its used where a high level of transmission security is required

XML – (Extensible Markup Language) - this application integration protocol is used where you required to send bulk SMS in single transaction like 10,000 or more SMS in a single transaction, XML can be integrated in any programming language and its doesn’t required any dedicated computer or hi speed internet in any shared hosting server or a small VPS is sufficient, further if your transaction limit go very high then you can go for any dedicated server, even XML can support more than 100,000 SMS in a single transaction and its as secured as SMPP protocol

HTTP – (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) - its 99.9% used protocol and its not required much programming knowledge and any entry level programmer can integrate it with any application, its support 1000 SMSs in a loop in single transaction and if more than 1000 SMSs even it will work perfectly only the difference is that 1 second delay time will come to process the request, technologically it’s also as secure as SMPP and XML

 

MESSAGING ROUTES

Now days load of SMS is very high on every SMS center and one gateway is shared by lots of SMS provider companies and due to this most of the time SMS delivered late and if any message is critical so users make complaints, to manage this situation we have divided our gateway in Three Routes as give bellow

Low priority route : In this route SMS will deliver but when SMS will delivered is not sure because there is not any backup route, we will not able to give any level of technical support on this route, accuracy is 80% on this route and SMS will not deliver on DND registered numbers

Hi priority route : In this route SMS will delivery in 5 - 30 seconds some time can take 1 or 2 minutes too; and it support upto 100 SMS per seconds, operator give assurance of 80-90% of SMS delivery.

Critical priority route for instant delivery : In this route SMS get delivered in 5 – 10 seconds while some time it can take 30 – 60 seconds too; it support upto 500 SMS per seconds, operator give assurance of 90% of SMS delivery
